NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation ’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of persons living with serious mental illnesses and their families.
Families who have a loved one with a mental illness share surprisingly similar experiences.
The serious mental illnesses greatly impact family members, as well as clients. Families are often confused by the nature of these medical disorders, and are directly involved in wanting to help their loved one get the treatment they deserve and on the path to recovery.
